Therefore thus says the LORD: "If you return, then I will bring you back; You shall stand before Me; if you take out the precious from the vile, you shall be as My mouth. Let them return to you, but you must not return to them. Jeremiah 15:19, New King James
Feeling discouraged? The enemy is closing in on all that you have loved and appreciated about America, and you feel helpless to stop it. That was Jeremiah, just before Jerusalem was to be conquered in 605BC.
God continued to send out Jeremiah to ask the people to repent, but the majority of them chose to go their own way, including their leaders. But God gave Jeremiah these words and more, encouraging him to serve God, not his peers.
Note Jeremiah 15:20,21 below:
And I will make you to this people a fortified bronze wall;
And they will fight against you,
But they shall not prevail against you;
For I am with you to save you
And deliver you," says the LORD.
"I will deliver you from the hand of the wicked,
And I will redeem you from the grip of the terrible."
I’d say that’s a fair reward for sticking up for God! God has our front in this battle as well as our rear. Follow the Lord, not your worldly peers. Let them follow you, so you may lead them to the Lord.
Pray for all Americans: followers of the Lord, that they may remain strong, and for the Lord’s protection over them. Pray for the unrepentant that they may turn from their wicked ways and join us in Christ. Finally, pray for the persecuted Christians around the world, who need God’s blessings most of all.
